Magnetic Proximity Sensor

Magnetic Proximity Sensor

A magnetic sensor that detects the proximity of an object. The magnetic field distribution around a permanent magnet is different. If a magnetic sensor is mounted on the object to be measured and placed near the magnet, the displacement of the magnet will cause the output of the sensor to change. Magnetic sensors can be Hall devices and magneto resistive devices.
