Digital Sensors

A sensor whose output signal is a digital signal.

The relationship between input signal and output signal is continuous for analog sensors, but discontinuous for digital sensors. Typical digital sensors include encoders for detecting linear displacement and angular displacement, which are mainly used in NC working machinery and robots.
