Principle of Air Conditioning Pressure Transducer

The pressure transducer is a device installed on the pipeline of air conditioner outdoor unit for pressure detection, which transmits the results of pressure detection to the computer board, so as to control other parts of air conditioner. The pressure transducer is a kind of electronic signal which can convert the detected pressure signal into electronic signal. It is micro-processed by the computer board chip. According to the results of pressure detection, the components of air conditioner can be fine controlled. Most pressure sensors today are capacitive pressure sensors, which consist of two adjacent parallel diaphragms and a sturdy compact shell.

Parallel diaphragms are usually made of the same metal. They are separated by insulating materials. The two diaphragms can also be made of other materials.

One of the metal diaphragms is fixed, and the other diaphragm can form a micro-depression when pressure acts on its surface. The micro-depression of the movable diaphragm caused by pressure changes the gap between two parallel diaphragms, which is equivalent to a capacitor. When the elastic diaphragm is depressed by a certain pressure, it changes its capacitance, and the capacitance of the capacitor is connected by one. After the detection of the solid-state linear comparison circuit connected to the microprocessor, the solid-state circuit analyses the signal and amplifies the output signal in proportion.

Capacitive pressure transducer can detect pressure in the range of 0.1 inch water column to 1000 pisg. The working principle of the old pressure transducer is the same as strain gauge or only a mechanical connecting rod mechanism.
